Final Project
-
What is the final project about?- In groups, create a live radio show or podcast related to the transmission of a Bede's Golf Tournament. I order to achieve that goal, you are going to work in the Golf, Classical Guitar and Radio Options in the processes involved. - Divide the different roles that the members of the group will take place during the programme. Also, prepare the segments that will compose the long transmission. - Design the background music and effects that will be used to convey meaning. - Use golf vocabulary and show technical expertise through the comments and information given during the radio show/podcast. - End the show, solving the driving question and the subsequent ones focusing on the process of the project and how you feel.
-
Do I need to know anything about all three subjects? You can join the project even if you don't know absolutely nothing about the subjects and even if you are an expert, this is an open to everybody space!
-
How are we going to work in each option's period? The term will be divided into 3. Each month will represent roughly 4 classes in which you will learn and acquire different skills in order to be able to prepare your project. The last month of the trimester will be entirely dedicated to the project itself! For the final project, there will be different roles you would be able to acquire. In Radio, you have the possibility to work as a producer, a presenter, a columnist, or a technician. In Golf you could be in charge of making comments about specific aspects of the sport such as golf swing technique, the course conditions, anecdotes or statistics in relationship with what is happening. Whilst in Classical Guitar, you will learn to play the instrument, write and record music for the project.

I can't find the connection between the Driving Question and the Options. Can you be a little bit more specific?Sure! In the three subjects, processes and results are present every time you are involved in them. So the question invites you to explore both parts and give your own conclusions about them. Is it more important the production of a programme/podcast or the air? Is it more relevant the practice or the tournaments? Is it more significant the rehearsals or the recording? Both, none or...Don't worry if your team has different opinions, the whole point of it is to exchange what you experience as the real answer!
